Hach's digital ultrasonic probe Sonatax sc continuously measures the sludge level or the sludge height.
To ensure the greatest possible accuracy at all times, the probe adjusts its sensitivity to match the varying solids concentrations and sludge profiles in the settlement tank. Signals reflected from structures in the tank (pipes, rods, etc.) have no effect on the measurement; they can be blinded out by the software. The probe is factory calibrated for long-term calibration stability. Magnetically coupled wipers reduce maintenance.
Various mounting devices are available, including for chain scrapers.

The Sonatax sc can be connected directly to all SC controllers providing versatile output options including 4-20 mA Output, Modbus RS485, Profibus, or Hart.
